Crown’s Green Initiative
At Crown Linen, LLC we have chosen state-of-the-art equipment that help us significantly reduce the usage of utilities that are vital to run a laundry.
Water: Our washroom is equipped with tunnel-washer technology. Our batch integrity tunnels are designed to use 4 times less water than a conventional washer through their internal water recycling systems.
Natural Gas: At Crown we use natural gas to generate steam for our ironers and to dry towels and other linens in our industrial dryers. We use high efficiency boilers to generate steam with minimal gas consumption and high efficiency dryers to reduce gas usage. In addition, the dryers are designed to conclude the drying cycle when they sensor that the items are dried thus avoiding over drying and the wasting of resources.
Electricity: Our state-of-the-art equipment is UL and EU certified and it is designed to run with minimal electrical consumption. Our facilities have high efficiency lightning and sensors to turn lights off when not in use.
Chemicals: Chemistry is a vital part of a laundry’s supplies. At Crown we have selected a chemical company that provides us with 100% biodegradable chemicals. These chemicals are delivered to our washroom by precision pumps that supply the right amount of the right chemicals every time.
